ICAR CIBA Celebrated 69th Republic Day of India with traditions and culture

CIBA Chennai celebrated the 69th Republic Day of the country in a grand manner with traditional events and cultural programmes. Dr K K Vijayan, Director of the institute hoisted the tri-colour flag of the nation and delivered an address to the CIBA staff members and their family. He stated that Republic Day is celebrated to remember India’s own constitution which came into force on 26th of January in 1950. The architects of Indian Constitution toiled and took strenuous efforts for building the nation towards the path of sustainable growth and development. In a similar manner, CIBA staff needs to work together for sustainable growth and development of brackishwater aquaculture sector and its stakeholders. In addition, the existing resources and infrastructural facilities of the institute need to be properly maintained and in this process each and every member need to play their due role.

The Recreation of CIBA Chennai arranged quiz under the theme “Republic Day of India” and drawing competition under the theme “I love my India” for children of CIBA staff members, in which more than 30 children have participated and prizes were given to the winners.
